A leading FMCG Food Manufacturer is currently seeking a site Technical Manager to support all aspects of the Technical and Hygiene Team.

Reporting into the Managing Director, the Technical Manager will be responsible for the factory technical management and developing / maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders.

The successful Technical Manager will play an essential role in ensuring adherence to the Business Change Process and will drive continuous improvement and a culture of consistent ‘audit readiness’ at all times.

Technical Manager responsibilities include:
HACCP Team Leader
Lead all customer, 3rd party audits
Member of Crisis Team
Overall management of QMS & HACCP Systems
Ensure board report and KPI data is submitted
Provide technical solutions throughout the business taking a resolution and continuous improvement approach to problem solving
Attend customer visits / meetings in a technical capacity
Ensure all non-conformances from customer audits are closed out with root cause and corrective actions identified
Overall responsibility for technical contracts i.e. pest control, laboratory and laundry
Carry out Technical Appraisals
Liaise with Operations, Commercial and Engineering Teams on a daily basis
Provide cover for both QA Coordinator and Technical Officer

You will be a commercially aware Technical Manager working within a fast paced Food Manufacturing environment. You will possess strong leadership skills and be able to coach, mentor and support all direct reports with their personal development.
