Packaging Manager

A leading FMCG manufacturer based in North West London is now seeking a Packaging Manager to lead the project management of all packaging related projects.

The Packaging Manager will work collaboratively with Supply Chain and Operations, Product Development, Regulatory and Marketing teams providing technical and project management leadership for Packaging projects across local and global regions.

The successful Packaging Manager will have demonstrable project management experience within the FMCG pharmaceutical, personal care or food industry with knowledge in printing technology and packaging materials. You will have a good understanding of machinery specifications and supplier auditing / approval of new suppliers with experience of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative suite.

Key Responsibilities of the Packaging Manager include:
Manage and lead packaging development and change process from concept through to delivery
Manage approval of packaging print proofs, artwork, design
Responsible for prioritising workload and effectively resource management to ensure artwork deadlines are met
Project manage ad‐hoc artwork projects and lead packaging development and packaging change process
Troubleshoot new and existing packaging problems involving designs, materials and processes
Analyse engineering drawings and specifications
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously on time and budget
Work collaboratively with Supply Chain & Operations, Product Development, Regulatory, Engineering and Marketing
Develop and implement comprehensive test and validate plans to ensure that design specifications are met
Ensure packaging designs are optimized for manufacturability
Review and access clients briefs ensuring technical and commercial specifications are accurate and processed into production orders
Able to maintain existing systems and establish / set up new procedures
Create/ Revise SOP’s
