The successful Regulatory Manager will be responsible for providing expert opinion to the business, managing the relevant processes that assure regulatory compliance across packaging, communications and production of the brands.
You will be PhD qualified or equivalent within a Scientific based discipline and experience of managing a multi‐skilled discipline team with a passion for nurturing talent. You will have excellent attention to detail, with the ability to read and interpret complex legislative text with agile communication.
Key responsibilities of the Regulatory Manager:
Ensure that existing and future products are compliant in order to introduce high‐level protection to consumers
Manage product submissions
Thorough knowledge of Packaging and labelling regulations
Ensure all art work or new designs have the correct legislative text
Liaise with the Design and Packaging Departments to ensure regulations are understood prior to launch
Keep abreast with regulatory changes to the world‐wide landscape in order to ensure all products are compliant
Manage ongoing regulatory compliance and educate clients, suppliers and colleagues on the regulatory landscape and identify potential new markets and harness future sales opportunities
Prepare detailed regulatory market reports upon request
Create a regulatory database for the Sales department
Ensure that compliance programmes and good practices are identified and leveraged appropriately across product lines, including testing protocols
Create/revise working instructions and process flow charts as and when necessary
Engage and lobby with regulatory authorities and politicians
Liaise with Product Stewardship, Product Development and Innovation and Sales Departments to keep aligned with new product developments
You will have excellent written and spoken English and possess strong presentation and public speaking skills. A second language would be advantageous for this role.
