Role - Lead Planner (permanent)
Salary - £60-65,000pa + car allowance
Location - Manchester
I am recruiting for a leading global construction consultancy based in Manchester. This company works with organisations to deliver value from their assets and work on many of the worlds biggest projects. They offer services covering the full range of consultancy, project delivery and post-project operations.
The lead planner will work as part of the project controls team on a number of high profile infrastructure projects, providing performance reporting and analysis support. Typical activities include working with cost, planning and risk management professionals, establishing progress and cost monitoring methods
- Create and maintain project schedules that support and align with project requirements
- Reduce uncertainty, understand objectives and improve efficiency
- Interact with project team to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan
- Interact with and assist project managers to schedule work and coordinate assignments
- Analyse critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around
- Adhere to NEC contract processes for management of schedule data and submissions
- Monitor and advice on status of project KPI’s
- Strong communicator
- Working in a project controls enviornment on a major project or programme within the infrastructure sector.
- Planning experience within Highways and/or Rail/Nuclear/Pharma/Utilities/Airports
- Experience with Earned value, progress updating, cost control, change control and baseline measurement.
- Experience in both Contractor and Client planning roles
- Experience in P6
