We are currently recruiting for a Technical Officer to join one of our Public Sector Clients, based in East London.
This is a 3 month contract with potential for extension and our Client is looking for someone who has got experience of working within a Council planning department.
The successful candidate will process and validate planning applications in accordance with national and local validation requirements.
This role involves reading plans and documents to determine the validity of the application.
The candidate will be expected to manage the application until valid and send out all consultation as required in line with national and local consultation policy.
The successful candidate will have be responsible for managing their own time and will be able to organise and prioritise their work, in consultation with the team leader.
The role may also require general administration tasks as required by the Team or department.
