Our client is a market leading, global consultancy who are active on many high-profile projects in a variety of industries including nuclear, defence and transport. Due to this rapid growth and business development, they are now looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support the rail team in York.
This is a great opportunity for a Junior/Assistant Quantity Surveyor to take the next step up in their career and begin a long term progression plan.
You will support a senior Cost Manager and main objectives will include:
- Ensure robust estimates are prepared
- Liaise with Finance and Accounts teams for the provision of relevant month end cost and accruals information and ensure that these costs are reconciled with the project budget.
- Preparing project cost and schedule status reports with analysis on variances for issue to the relevant management teams and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience of Cost Plans
- Degree in a relevant subject
- Understanding of construction methods
