The successful NPD Manager will identify and develop new product opportunities under retailer private label, you will liaise directly with suppliers and key contacts within UK multiples to deliver projects on time and within budget. You will have a proven track record of working closely with stakeholders and possess strong organisational skills.
Product Development Manager Responsibilities:
Manage private label NPD projects from concept to launch.
Identify and develop new product opportunities under retailer private label.
Liaise directly with suppliers and key contacts within UK multiples to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Provide qualified support to National Account Manager’s at retailer product development meetings with provision of product information.
Build positive relationships with both suppliers and customers.
Support other members of the Commercial team as needed.
Proactively manage product development to account for emerging trends e.g. reduction of salt etc.
Agree and define quality perimeters and document onto the relevant QAS form.
Manage the benchmarking and consistency panel process.
Attend first production runs to support the supplier alongside the customer to agree Quality perimeters.
You will be a commercially minded NPD Manager possessing excellent communication and project managements skills with experience of private label development within the major UK multiples. You will be confident, outgoing, creative, flexible and a real ‘foodie’.
