Due to continual growth and a number of new project win’s my client, an awarding winning engineering practice is looking to grow their team in Peterborough.
They are looking for an experienced Revit MEP Technician. They will join the Building Services Engineering team to provide engineering support on single and multi-disciplinary projects, including new build and refurbishment projects for the public and private sectors. Typical projects range in value from GBP £0.5-50m and are extremely varied in type, scope and complexity.
They will be responsible, under the leadership of the Senior/Project Engineer, for the management of complex Revit MEP projects for clients in the Industrial, Educational, Leisure, Healthcare, Energy, Residential, Retail and Public sectors. This will include client team liaison, limited design, interface with project teams and contract implementation including working with Common Data Environment (CDE) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) up to Level 2.
The candidate will provide Revit MEP assistance for both new build and refurbishment MEP projects. They will have experience in Revit MEP templates, Revit MEP modelling in both 2D and 3D, 3D is essential, 3D draughting, 3D coordination, interference detection and the creation of and adaption of Revit MEP families.
The successful candidate may be a required to visit site from time to-time and provide support to our other offices.
The candidate for this position will preferably have some design/technical and/or practical on site experience in MEP and/or MEP coordination, and a good level of computer literacy in Windows and Microsoft Office software is required. Experience of using Revit MEP is essential.
The ability to operate as part of a project team within appropriate authority levels and to represent the company with confidence to a variety of clients and outside organisations is expected. The candidate will have the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of one of our dynamic teams.
- Liaison and representation of Rolton Group with other project professionals
- Management of own workload and those of others assigned to the project team
- Maintaining records and archives within document and project management systems and in accordance with our CAD/Revit draughting standards/manuals and protocol(s) and policies.
