The client, a market leader within electrical asset management is looking for a Product Design and Maintenance Engineer to join their Development team. They operate globally and is one of the industry leading names in asset management solutions for electrical assets. They have a large focus on research and development when it comes to innovation of products and services they can offer.
 
This role sits with the Development team and will have an autonomous approach. The role will look at raising and dealing with issues that arise throughout the product development and maintenance road-map. You will act as a link between the Development and instrument production team and you'll ensure high reliability of the product range.

You will act as the escalation point of the support team and fix any issues with the Hardware for your customers or distribution centres. Typical problems that may arise include software bugs in the field, having to replace or redesign products due to a part being obsolete or interference in radio spectrum.
All devices you will be supporting are built and designed internally so responsibility for maintenance will be across a variety of technologies such as high-speed sampling, analogue design, digital design including FPGA and embedded code.



Experience Required

  • To have formal education in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in full cycle product development
  • C++ Development 
  • C Development
  • Regulatory requirement experience
  • To have worked in a product development environment

Desirable

  • FPGA Experience
