A leading FMCG manufacturer is currently seeking an Interim Operations Manager to manage the operations and to lead and develop the team.

The successful Operations Manager will report directly into the Site Director and will be required to liaise with the Senior Management Team and develop / deliver the strategic and short-term operational objectives to play a part in the future growth of the business.

You will be an experienced Interim Operations Manager / Factory Manager with a strong understanding of FMCG food manufacturing, ideally within a short shelf life environment.

Responsibilities of the Interim Operations Manager include:
Initiate corrective action within production areas following identification of Good Manufacturing Practice deficiencies arising from audits, revisions to guidelines or identification of best practice.
Ensure all operations in the factory are conducted to comply with current Health & Safety legislation by maintaining a system of internal auditing and reviews taking action to correct deficiencies.
Ensure production is achieved to meet targets established in the budget and associated Business Plan, whilst driving improvements for site OEE.
Contribute to the Business plan, identifying key developments and setting targets and action plans to achieve these.
Monitor labour efficiencies in order to ensure efficient manufacture at all times.
Regularly review the performance of staff against agreed objectives, identifying any training and development needs.
Develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement that enables all employees to participate and contribute to improving the processes.
