Scantec's FMCG Food Manufacturing Division is now recruiting an Operations Manager for a food manufacturer in the North West London area.

This is a highly demanding role requiring a creative and innovative leader to manage the operations as well as lead and develop the production team.

The successful Operations Manager will have experience of fostering a culture of innovation and best practice along with a proven track record of leading a manufacturing site covering Production and Operations to implement a long term business strategy by developing and delivering improvement plans.

Responsibilities of the Operations Manager include:
Provide leadership, direction and support to the department
Demonstrate and instil interdepartmental working with a consistent approach
Assist in the development of the annual manufacturing strategy
Set objectives and monitor for the manufacturing teams ensuring these are communicated and understood
Analyse the skills gaps within the department
Develop appropriate training plans ensuring monthly reviews with the Production / Shift Managers
Develop a strong safety culture focusing on behavioural safety
Identify and rectify the root causes of all incidents in a timely manner
Develop a strong continuous improvement culture within the business
Ensure daily focus on KPI performance through the daily line meetings, ensuring that trend analysis is carried out on key objectives
Ensure that waste, labour material standards and energy efficiencies are adhered to by the team, and continue to seek to improve these standards
