Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Liverpool (Knowsley)
£33k plus, holiday, pension, life assurance, overtime
Shift based 4 on 4 off 6am/6pm

A great opportunity to join an expanding engineering team within a well established £40m + turnover manufacturing business based in the North West. Due to success and a large amount of investment the business is looking to add another shift to its maintenance program and therefore has requirements for 3 engineers.

The role will involve support the plant which operates 24/7 on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, joining a team of 7 engineers that they have already.

If you have a mechanical bias with basic electrical fault finding skills then you would be an advantage. You’ll be working on Extruders, Mixers, Classifiers, Motors, Pumps, Drives and Compressors, but there will be training provided on this if you have worked on slightly different equipment.

Currently the site is quite reactive in terms of its maintenance program, but the Engineering Manager is looking to change this towards a more PPM driven environment, so if you are interested in being part of this and influencing how this is implemented then this role might be of real interest.

Background wise, ideally you’ll be time served and have working a manufacturing or plant based environment as part of the maintenance team as an engineer or a technician. You’ll  be keen on joining a business of over 150 employees and with real ambition to continue growing.


Time served mechanical engineer/technician
NVQ or C&G Level 3 or Equivalent
17th/18th Edition would be advantageous
The ability to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
