What's the difference between a Project Controls Engineer and a Project Manager?
The Project Manager owns scope, quality, cost, time and stakeholder management holistically. The Project Controls Engineer owns the cost and schedule performance intelligence that feeds the Project Manager's decisions. On any UK EPR delivery, the Project Controls function operates as an integrated team reporting into a Project Controls Manager who reports to the Project Manager. The two roles are complementary, not interchangeable.
