Appointed Person / Lifting Engineer – Sellafield
Location: Sellafield
Start Date: 5th October 2026
Duration: 7 weeks initially, until 20th November, with a further period from 23rd November to 26th March and potential for longer-term work
Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:00–15:45 | Friday 7:00–12:00
Paid Hours: 38 hours per week, subject to confirmation
Rate: In line with NAECI Grade 6 – Advanced Crafts.
We are currently looking for an experienced Appointed Person / Lifting Engineer for a last-minute requirement at Sellafield.
Requirements
- CPCS Blue Skilled Worker Card – A61 Appointed Person
- P4 Pass
- SC Clearance
- Previous Sellafield experience essential, with a good understanding of the site environment and requirements
Please note that clearance transfer can take approximately one week, so candidates must be able to progress this quickly.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will support the team in identifying and assessing pipe bridges across site, helping to determine which require urgent maintenance. The Appointed Person will form part of the wider team as the work packs develop and the team grows.
The role is initially required for 7 weeks, with further work planned from November through to March and potential for a longer-term position.
