Mechanical Fitter – AWE | CIS
Location: AWE, Reading
Start Date: 5th October
Duration: 6 months minimum, with potential to extend
Rate: £32.00/hr CIS – Local | £37.00/hr CIS – Travellers (50 mile radius)
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid break
Paid Hours: 38 hours per week
We’re currently looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a long term nuclear project.
The role:
The successful candidate will be involved in mechanical decommissioning and deplanting activities, including the dismantling, removal, and preparation of redundant plant and equipment within a highly regulated nuclear environment.
Requirements:
- Previous nuclear decommissioning experience
- CSCS Card or CCNSG Safety Passport
- NVQ Level 3 or relevant qualification
- SC Clearance
- Must be willing and able to undergo DV clearance
