A leading environmental services company is seeking a Senior Site Chemist to join their team. Working closely with the Assistant Site Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, ensure full site compliance, and support the development and training of site chemists.
This is a varied and rewarding role where your technical knowledge, leadership skills, and commitment to high standards will make a real impact on efficiency, compliance, and safety performance.
Duties include:

Ensuring full compliance with the site permit, waste acceptance criteria, and HSE segregation guidelines.

Supervising waste reception, bulking, and transfer operations in line with regulatory and company standards.

Overseeing and developing chemists, providing training and work rotation across all waste handling processes.

Managing packaged waste, including stock rotation, bay management, and compliance monitoring.
What you’ll need:

Degree or HNC in Chemistry or a related discipline (preferred)

Strong experience in hazardous or waste transfer site operations

Excellent knowledge of HSE and environmental compliance requirements
