Senior Engineer – Remediation

Based In Cardiff, Reading or Warrington Area

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Senior Engineer to join our clients team and play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality remediation projects across the UK. Working closely with the Project Manager, you’ll help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong site-based engineering experience who enjoys leading from the front and wants to contribute to meaningful, environmentally beneficial projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Promoting a culture of shared responsibility for health and safety across colleagues, contractors, and the public.

  • Supporting the Project Manager with planning, documentation, and site setup.

  • Supervising and leading project activities, including subcontractor works and commissioning stages.

  • Communicating clearly and professionally with clients, contractors, and team members.

  • Monitoring site progress, highlighting risks, and ensuring projects remain within programme and budget.

  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies, QA systems, and UK legislation.

  • Managing and supporting project team members, ensuring resources and competencies are in place.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve methods, systems, and services.

  • Contributing to audits and continuous improvement across projects and the Company.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in site-based project or engineering roles, ideally within remediation, construction, or environmental services.

  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to work with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Organised, detail-focused, and able to keep projects on track.

  • A practical, problem-solving mindset with the flexibility to step in where needed.
