We’re supporting a highly regarded consultancy that works closely with clients across infrastructure, defence, and energy – delivering critical programmes that demand precision, structure, and consistency. They’re now looking for an experienced Project Controls Manager to join their delivery team on a major programme in London.
This role is all about embedding best-in-class controls into a live, complex environment. You’ll bring hands-on experience across planning, cost, risk and reporting – helping the client stay on track and make informed decisions. This isn’t a back-office role. You’ll be embedded in delivery teams, solving problems, improving visibility and ensuring the right project controls processes are in place and working properly.
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Leading core project controls activity across planning, cost, risk and performance
-
Working with delivery and commercial teams to keep data aligned and meaningful
-
Managing change, earned value and performance metrics in a clear, consistent way
-
Producing reports that support decision-making and hold real value to stakeholders
-
Contributing to the overall controls strategy across the wider programme
What They’re Looking For
-
Strong experience in project controls on infrastructure or major capital programmes
-
Skilled in Primavera P6, Excel and relevant cost and risk tools
-
Clear understanding of schedule, cost and performance integration
-
Comfortable in client-facing roles, with the ability to communicate clearly and proactively
-
A self-starter who knows what good looks like and how to deliver it
Why This Role
You’ll be joining a delivery-led consultancy that values quality, experience, and long-term relationships. You won’t be micromanaged or buried in red tape – instead, you’ll be trusted to use your expertise and given the support to do it well. It’s a solid, stable team with room to grow and the opportunity to get involved in some of the UK’s most complex programmes.
If you're looking for a long-term role where your experience is valued, your voice matters, and your work genuinely contributes to delivery – get in touch.
