Job Title: Fitter / Assembler
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire

Salary: £34,500 – £36,500
Hours: Monday to Wednesday: 1:30pm – 11:30pm, Thursday: 1:30pm – 11:00pm
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fitter / Assembler to join a busy fabrication workshop in Aylesbury. You will be responsible for the electrical and mechanical assembly of components, ensuring high-quality standards, and supporting wider production activities as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical fitting and mechanical assembly of metal and machined parts
- Accurately read and interpret third-angle projection engineering drawings and SOPs
- Assemble post-weld subassemblies using hand tools, torque tools, and fixtures
- Perform pressure and leak testing, recording results as required
- Prepare completed units for dispatch or installation
- Operate general production equipment and handheld tools
- Identify and report defects, ensuring all work meets quality standards
- Assist in other production areas when required
- Maintain good housekeeping and follow 5S and health & safety practices
- Complete relevant administrative tasks

- Strong work ethic, reliable timekeeping, and attention to detail
- Proactive, with the ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and work independently or in a team
- Comfortable using measuring tools such as micrometres
- Must have hands-on experience interpreting and working from third-angle projection drawings
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience working with bespoke heat exchangers
- Proven experience working with third-angle projection drawings
Desirable Experience:
- Flame cutting, CNC cutting, milling, turning
- Fabrication workshop background
- Quality inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT)
Training & Development:
Training needs will be reviewed and supported by the Production Supervisor
