Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £40,000 – £42,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 4.30pm (early finish at 3.30pm on Fridays)
We’re working with a well-established manufacturer based in Liverpool who are expanding their on-site Engineering Team. They’re after a hands-on, electrically-biased Multi-Skilled Engineer who enjoys a bit of variety in their day-to-day and can hit the ground running.
This is a great opportunity if you prefer being part of a smaller, close-knit team where you’re not just a number – and where your input and ideas will actually be listened to.
What’s the role?
You’ll be covering a good mix of:
-
Planned preventative maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment
-
First-response breakdowns and reactive repairs
-
Root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
-
Keeping records updated via the site’s CMMS system
-
Supporting H&S activities including risk assessments
-
Working alongside contractors and contributing to projects
It’s a varied role where you won’t just be stuck on the same machine every day.
What you’ll need:
-
Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
-
Confident fault-finding and problem-solving skills
-
Comfortable reading both electrical and mechanical schematics
-
Knowledge of PLC logic (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi)
-
Some exposure to motion control, pneumatics, and hydraulics
-
Comfortable working at height or in confined spaces when needed
-
Experience with milling equipment is a bonus, but not a dealbreaker
What’s on offer?
-
Competitive salary up to £42k
-
Friendly, supportive team environment
-
Early Friday finishes
-
Opportunity to make your mark in a role where no two days are the same
