Electrical Project Engineer
Location: Reading – Hybrid working model

Key Responsibilities

Input to the Project Management Plan and other strategy and high-level control documentation.
-
Undertake studies and develop solutions to deliver the project’s end point requirements.
-
Prepare documentation to support project delivery, including:
-
Control Plans
-
Method Statements
-
Risk Assessments
-
LTQR documentation
-
-
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to identify services, plant, and equipment required.
-
Liaise with procurement to ensure all items are procured in line with company procedures.
-
Manage project documentation.
-
Liaise with supervisors to support coordination and management of operatives and technicians.
-
Manage operatives and technicians as required under the guidance of the Project Manager.
-
Promote effective communication and collaboration across disciplines to achieve project goals.

Support the Project Manager with:
-
Management of activities in accordance with the QSHEW Management System and best practice
-
Provision of information to maintain the project programme
-
Cost tracking and forecasting
-
Identification and communication of project risks and opportunities
-
Stakeholder liaison and management
-
Subcontractor and supplier management and expediting
-
Qualifications
-
Degree in a technical discipline – Desirable
-
Membership of a professional/technical body – Desirable
-
IOSH Managing Safely or H&S qualification – Training can be provided
Experience & Skills

Solid understanding of the project lifecycle – Essential

Familiarity with the UK nuclear sector – Essential
-
Knowledge of radiological controls and QSHEW systems – Desirable
-
Proficient in MS Office suite – Essential

Strong organisational and reporting skills – Essential
-
Ability to assess technical data and communicate across all levels – Essential

Knowledge of ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 standards – Essential
