HSE Manager – Permanent

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced HSE Manager to join a leading engineering and industrial services organisation on a permanent basis. About the Role:
As HSE Manager, you’ll play a key role in promoting a proactive safety culture across operational sites. You’ll oversee site-based safety performance, ensure regulatory and client compliance, and act as a trusted advisor on all HSE matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage HSE performance across assigned projects or operational areas
- Ensure compliance with relevant UK health, safety, and environmental legislation
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices
- Conduct audits, inspections, and investigations, driving corrective actions
- Liaise with client HSE teams and external regulators
- Provide guidance and leadership to site teams and subcontractors
- Maintain and report HSE performance metrics
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in an HSE Manager or Senior HSE Advisor role, ideally within engineering, construction, nuclear, or industrial sectors
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and regulations
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 HSE qualification) preferred
- IOSH membership (TechIOSH or higher)
- Experience in highly regulated or high-risk environments is highly desirable (e.g., nuclear, COMAH, energy, defence)
