Commissioning Engineer

Location: Wolverhampton / Hybrid

Do you take pride in designing project commissioning strategies and owning the commissioning process for products to be utilized by the biggest Nuclear companies in Europe?

We have a unique opportunity to join a highly specialised organisation dedicated to supplying containment systems, shielding doors, gloveboxes, and mechanical handling equipment to some of the UK’s most high-profile nuclear projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in the manufacturing process of products, and the turnover to commissioning for the end client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Tendering for new projects including estimating timeframes
  • Create Project Commissioning strategies, ensuring implementation during manufacturing process.
  • Develop test and commissioning documents including Pressure tests, Proof Load tests, Control Panel inspection, Setting to Work documents, Safe systems of work, factory and site acceptance tests.
  • Manage turnover from manufacturing to commissioning.
  • Prepare and complete Factory and Site acceptance tests, risk assessments, fitting necessary aids.
  • Identify non-conformities/faults and report.
  • Ensure project is completed according to plan, reporting any adjustments or deviations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • HNC qualified or higher
  • Extensive experience in Engineering environment
  • Extensive Mechanical and/or Electrical equipment experience
  • Broad Knowledge of British and European Engineering standards
