A leading FMCG Manufacturer is currently seeking a senior a Shift Production Manager to join their team. Former Food Manufacturing experience is essential for this role.

As Shift Production Manager you will be accountable for a team of approximately 50 people. You will be required to develop, engage and motivate your team as well as effectively managing change. This role will require someone with a proven track record of implementing Cultural and Operations Change.
This could be an opportunity for someone with a few years leadership experience, progressing up the career ladder and ready to step up with some mentoring.

Shift Production Manager responsibilities:

Ensure focus for all personnel on safety, food safety and quality within an area at all times
Liaise with HR department to select and develop operational personnel and to ensure that a developmental programme is in place to train and motivate individuals to achieve performance and quality targets. Ensure full training is given accordingly to task procedures and individuals needs.
Headcount; ensure the right people are in the right places and complements are managed appropriately
Costing Controls; ensure department cost is managed appropriately
Lead process improvements and cost savings and be the project owner for their area and ensure time scales are met and improvement will be seen
SAP costings and forward planning; working with the SAP team ensure SAP matrixes are met and process honouring adhered to
Completing any health and safety documentation appertaining to the shift.
Weekly Review of targets, Key Performance Indicators and drive improvements/challenge where appropriate

You will be a Shift Production Manager with a proven track record of implementing Cultural and Operations Change within a high paced FMCG Food Manufacturing environment.
