Based in Selby, our client is an FMCG manufacturer who is seeking a QA Technician to join their established technical team. We are seeking a pro-active and driven candidate with some similar experience within a Quality Tech or Quality Auditor role who is looking to further develop their career. Role Purpose:  
To ensure the quality and safety of products and processes through the application of the Quality Systems and activities to meet all Technical and site objectives. 

Hours of work: 
Days, Monday to Friday, 40 hours PW  
  • 8am-4pm or 10am-6pm on rotation. 
  • Overtime available, X1.5 on weekdays and weekends, X3 on Bank Holidays.  
QA Technician - Role Accountabilities:  
  • Complete Line quality control and quality assurance checks, including weight checks, machine verification, packaging checks, coding checks, calibration and verification, lab equipment maintenance, data analysis and reporting, documentation audits, audit-readiness. 
  • Complete site internal audits (CCP, GMP, Glass and Plastic , Hygiene etc.)  
  • Collection and coordination of samples for routine micro / analytical analysis & co-ordination of process  
  • Actively reinforce company GMP and hygiene policies by advising staff on good practices when necessary and reporting non-conformance's to Supervisors/Managers and investigation of non- conformance's 
  • Attend and contribute to technical team meetings for the development of food safety systems.  
  • Maintain a close working relationship with team leaders, Production staff and other relevant departments to successfully drive quality and safety forward.  
  • Work and promote working in a safe manner according to all company H&S procedures  
  • Actively participate in external audits, including BRC as well internal site improvements as required 
  • Raw material Release – Raw Material inwards and testing 
  • Complaint investigation, root cause analysis and NCR close out. 
  • Taste Panelling to ensure product consistency. 
  • Report on trends and issues to Technical Co-coordinator 
Required Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications:  

You would need to have experience of working in a similar Quality role within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment. Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Weights legislation, QMS would be an advantage.
