A global FMCG Manufacturer is currently recruiting for an Quality Manager. Reporting to the Plant head of Quality, the Quality Manager is responsible for planning, organising and coordinating various aspects of the plant’s Food Safety & Quality management system, primarily focused on ensuring overall food safety, legal compliance and product quality. The Quality Team Manager also helps to drive the development and continual improvement of a food safety and quality culture, in alignment with BRC Global Standard for Packaging Materials, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ISO9001.

Quality Manager responsibilities include:

Manage the Quality and Laboratory team.
Ensure the food safety, quality and legality of all products manufactured on site.
Deputise in the absence of the Quality Manager for all activities which ensure food safety, quality and legality of products, as well as Quality department supervision.
Help to lead the Hazard Analysis & Risk Assessment team activities, reviews and audits.
Conduct internal process and system audits. Help to manage customer and 3rd party audits, including preparation, guidance and closure.
Act as a catalyst for change and improvement in the food safety and quality culture throughout the business, identifying opportunities for improvements.
Lead by example in encouraging appropriate behavioural standards in support of the company’s values and food safety and culture.
Work with Operations teams to establish and improve procedures, standards and systems.

You will be a Quality Manager, ideally degree qualified / equivalent in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology or other relevant discipline and be Passionate about Safety, Food Safety and Quality.
You will have a proven track record in being able to lead behavioural and cultural change in a fast paced FMCG Manufacturing environment (food or food packaging will be deemed advantageous)
You will require a meticulous attention to detail, precision and accuracy of work output and have strong problem solving skills.
Excellent IT skills are essential for this role including proficient MS Office software suite and interfacing with an ERP system.
