A leading FMCG manufacturer in the Somerset / Bristol area is currently seeking a Site Facilities Lead to manage all Site Service duties across the business.   

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Facilities Lead will be accountable for the Site Services Engineers and the site Security team.  You will manage all daily priorities in respect of Site Services, assisting in leading and delivering asset care across the site, managing the engineering systems and supporting the development of the wider Engineering and Operational teams to develop and improve site knowledge. 

Key accountabilities for the Site Facilities Lead include: 
  • Managing the daily priorities of the Site Services Engineers and managing the site security team. 
  • Supporting Engineers to identify,recommend and implement utility reductions. 
  • Ensuring the building and facility standards are maintained. 
  • Responsibility for all compliance activities on regulated systems (Legionella, PSSR, LOLER, Effluent Discharge, water quality, AHU and fire detection/suppression etc). 
  • Maintaining and supporting approved contractor register and the PTW system.
  • Managing contractors and signing off critical maintenance and compliance activities. 
  • Carrying out engagement sessions with operational teams to improve utility understanding and impact. 
  • Ensuring all managed engineering systems are adhered to, and all work is carried out to relevant legislation and guidelines. 
  • Monitoring and updating of key systems including BMS, Cooling Towers, Effluent Plant etc. 
  • Delivering the shutdown maintenance activities and support out of hours requirements. 
You will be a flexible and adaptable leader with 3-5 years Engineering experience in a shift role (due to requiring an understanding of ‘out of hours’ needs).  Mechanical and electrical certificate (NVQ3 or equivalent) preferably with 18th Edition, BOAS, Legionella.   

You’ll be well versed within FMCG environments with experience in working within Site Services or Utilities and Facilities in a customer focused surrounding.  You will be a team player but equally able to work on your own initiative along with excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities.
