FMCG Chilled Manufacturer
A leading FMCG foods manufacturer is currently seeking a Assistant Technical Manager / Quality Manager with ambitions to progress to site Technical Manager and to be accountable for the development and implementation of a robust technical, food safety & quality strategy for manufacturing site. Reporting into the current Technical Manager who will be seeking to train and develop the sucessful applicant to Site Technical Manager within 1-2 years.
You will be a Assistant Technical Manager or Quality Manager used to working in a Fast Paced FMCG food manufacturing facility along with experience of managing and working to major retailer standards.
Assistant Technical Manager / Quality Manager Responsibilities include:
Deputising for site Head of Technical during absence
Man management responsibilities of QA Team, Specifications, Hygiene and Intake.
Establish and build relationships with the retailer technical teams.
Processes to enable effective resolution of production quality issues.
Achieve and provide a due diligence and maintain accreditation standards: PPC and Hygiene Standards.
Management of Technical, Quality, Regulatory, Hygiene, Food Safety, effectively resolving all day to day technical issues to ensure that all production meets retailer specification.
Maintain and develop HACCP and process control systems and documentation in line with company and customer requirements.
Annual review of compliance.
Review and develop quality policies and systems in accordance with customer requirements.
Resolution of customer complaints, ensuring target levels are achieved and improved.
Identify staff training and development needs, devising and implementing appropriate training plans.
Responsible for setting site standards and conducting internal audits.
Liaison with enforcement agencies to ensure legal compliance and provide a due diligence defence.
Ensure that the factory has sufficient reference materials for the labelling and weight control to ensure that all products are legally correct and as per customer requirements.
Be a self motivated person and use their initiative and take responsibility in making decisions concerning the technical aspects of products made.
