Scantec are seeking Project Managers to support the delivery of end to end project work within nuclear decommissioning.

These roles will be delivering commercial decommissioning and waste services, operating across different business areas including Consultancy, Site Projects and their waste treatment facility in Cumbria and internationally.

Project Managers are remote based, but visiting client sites as required is an expectation of the role. Due to the ongoing demand in the South West, our client is looking for Project Managers to spend 2-3 days on site around the Bridgewater area.


-         Developing and executing effective execution strategies and plans in line with the overall project strategies and plans.
-         Ensuring the relevant project risks are identified and managed/mitigated as appropriate
-         Managing the quality, schedule and cost for the project scope to the agreed baseline
-         Delivering fit for purpose work in a safe manner to meet or better the project baseline cost, schedule, and quality requirements
-         Identifying, implementing, and complying with applicable safety, environmental, quality, company procedural, policy, legislative and regulatory requirements
-         Applying an appropriate level of priority for safety and quality to ensure that Nuclear Safety is well supported by effective project delivery
-         Maintaining effective communications and executing the project strategies within your team.

Successful applicants should possess the following skills and experience

-         Leading and delivering projects in complex, technical and highly regulated environments.
-         Previous work experience on decommissioning or nuclear projects
-         Supply Chain Management and/or Bid Management experience
-         Conflict resolution, being able to recognise, anticipate and effectively deal with existing or potential conflicts or disconnects at individual, team or strategic levels
-         Demonstrably strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
-         Capable of obtaining (or currently holds) UK Nuclear industry clearance
