Senior Safety Assessor


Reporting to the head of Safety, Security & Environment, you should possess a significant level of experience and knowledge and be able to take a leading role within the company both in business development and delivery activities, having led and successfully delivered work packages to time and cost.

This individual is expected to act as a role model within the company and someone who others look to for guidance and expertise in their field both internally and externally.

You will provide information and resource to assist the Head of Safety in delivering the companies Safety Authority role by supporting Project teams on nuclear, radiological and conventional safety technology and / or provide environmental support to Project teams.

You will also provide support and information to the Head of Safety concerning current employee safety requirements within the working environment and on environmental regulatory requirements as appropriate.

As a Senior Safety Assessor, you are expected to maintain the technical competence and capability of the  technical and safety teams.

It should be ensured that the capability is adequate to meet current delivery requirements and anticipate the strategic and future delivery needs of the business.

 Responsible for identifying the appropriate Technical Safety resources required for the delivery of your work and ensuring that the team is suitably qualified and experienced.

 
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Nuclear Safety or related discipline.
  • The individual should be Chartered. A higher grade of membership of a relevant institution (e.g. Fellow of IChemE) is desirable.
