A leading FMCG manufacturer in North West London is currently seeking a Senior Engineer to manage business improvement and capital projects, identifying ways to enhance existing processes through innovation and introduction of new technologies and processes.

The successful Senior Project Engineer will in addition be responsible for maintenance and engineering activities - the manufacturing process is designed around complex electrical and mechanical production lines and equipment so automation experience is essential for this role.

You will ideally have a recognised Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification with a solid understanding of machine operation and production processes. You will have excellent problem solving skills, strong communication skills, knowledge of budgets and able to manage multiple projects through to completion.

Senior Engineer responsibilities include:
Lead CAPEX investment projects and assist in the commissioning of new equipment and departmental projects.
Undertake planned and preventative maintenance on a range of equipment.
Identify and diagnose common faults as well as mentoring and training colleagues in diagnosing complex problems.
Implement counter measures, analyse fault data and make recommended root cause improvement activity.
Carry out routine equipment / system adjustments.
Control materials and costs using analysis through building supplier relationships.
Facilities Maintenance program implementation and execution.
