FMCG foods manufacturer

A leading food manufacturer is currently seeking an Engineering manager to join their team. Reporting into the site director, the Engineering manager will be responsible for coaching and mentoring the Engineering functions into a cohesive and proactive unit. This role is very strategic and will be heavily focussed towards projects.

Engineering Manager responsibilities:

Identifying maintenance improvement opportunities and developing an action plan to deliver.

Drive a proactive, continuous improvement engineering culture, promoting change whilst supporting the manufacturing strategy

Dictate engineering equipment and installation standards

Negotiate contract and supply costs, ensuring value for money

Maintain an appreciation of technical developments

Manage minor projects which deliver professional standards and maintain competitive edge

Co-ordinate shut down activities and deliver planned work to time / cost / quality requirements

Lead performance management with multiskilling and apprenticeships programmes

Provide engineering management information, technical information, expertise and support

Ownership of cap ex projects

Promote and deliver PPM programme


You will be an Engineering manager / Head of Engineering used to working within a high speed  manufacturing environment. You will have either an Engineering degree or equivalent and a proven track record in strategy and driving large scale projects.
