A leading Branded FMCG Food manufacturer is currently seeking a Sales Development Manager to join their growing sales team. The role will be responsible for supporting the Business Development Manager to develop existing UK accounts in multiple retailers, wholesale and independent outlets.
Reporting to the UK Business Development Manager you will provide support with the sales function and maintaining an interface throughout the trade and the independent channel, driving volume and brand recognition.
Sales Development Manager:
•Build and maintain excellent relationships with our current business partners in order to maintain their support for the brand and product range.
•Work with and support those partners by providing Field sales support, Telesales support, In house training (including in-store tastings and in-store promotions).
•Establish detailed plans with key customers that demonstrate delivery of annual sales targets and ensure their achievement.
•Undertake product audits and provide detail for our marketing department for development, gap analysis, competitor activity, trade promotional activity.
•Identify new business opportunities both with existing customers and elsewhere which will positively contribute to the business plan including recommending actions and deliver on them.
•Be alert to changes and developments in the market place that may influence the sales plan and recommend actions to counteract them.
•Assist in the trade show, key shows and events programmes throughout the UK.
•Co-ordinate promotional activity in line with the trade marketing plan.
•Be the champion of the Brand with all our customers and target audiences.
You will be an enthusiastic and motivated ‘self starter’ Sales Development Manager with a proven track record in business development and developing and growing major accounts at a senior level within the Food and Drink industry.
This is a home based position involving UK wide travel consisting of travelling to clients and meetings and attending trade exhibitions and organising and delivering product training and sampling days, therefore ability to travel extensively throughout the UK is a must as well as a holder of a full UK drivers Licence.
