A leading FMCG manufacturer based in the Nottingham area is currently seeking an NPD Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis to assist and manage the product development of new and existing lines.

The successful NPD Project Manager will be accountable for the effective delivery of projects from full concept to launch, ensuring compliance. This role is customer facing and accountable for financial aspects of projects specific to the factory and for all aspects of the industrialisation phase including factory trials and first production runs.

Seeking a customer focused New Product Development Project Manager with demonstrable customer relationship management experience in a food, consumer goods or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will be commercially aware with strong project management skills, able to impact and influence with the ability to problem solve.

Responsibilities of the NPD Project Manager include:
Leading a cross functional project team to successfully industrialise projects by using effective project management and project planning skills.
Accountable for financial aspects of projects including assessment of economic viability, validation of conversion cost following first production and recovery of excluded costs.
Ensuring all aspects of the project are available on time from the system set up to replenishment orders e.g. data set up in systems, BOMs, routings, Raw and Packaging Materials availability, change parts, documentation
Accountable for ensuring any trial reports are generated and corrective actions from the trials are implemented
Accountable for ensuring project reviews take place and corrective actions are completed prior to handover to the replenishment phase
Responsible for organising Expert to Expert communication with the Customer on project status as required

Must be a strategic thinker and ideally have experience with packaging and brand development with some knowledge of factory Industrialisation and excellent leadership skills.
