The successful Production & Warehouse Manager will manage the Production, Stores and Warehouse functions; ensuring products are manufactured in an efficient and profitable manner to specified Quality and Health & Safety standards, meeting customer delivery dates and operating within agreed budgets.
You will have a passion for food manufacturing with the ability to create strong relationships and working partnerships. You will be used to working at pace with a high level of autonomy in relation to decision making within a food manufacturing environment and not afraid of a challenge!
Production & Warehouse Manager Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and support to the operations team, ensuring effective communication.
Set objectives and ensure that every team member has a clear defined understanding of their role within the team.
Review the performance of all key members of the team and regularly set SMART objectives and targets.
Ensure compliance with, and where possible, enhance the Hygiene, Food Safety, Quality and Health & Safety requirements and standards
Build and maintain positive and excellent working relationships with stakeholders and work collaboratively across all business areas.
Understand and maintain the company stock and replenishment system to maximise efficiency.
Consistently drive to exceed dispatch targets and reach service levels.
Stock replenishment supervision and daily dispatch reporting.
Ensure an organised, efficient and orderly warehouse and regularly update relevant systems to record the movement of goods in and goods out.
Complete stock recording paperwork to facilitate accurate and proportionate reordering.
Lead internal and external audit process.
Maintain the company’s excellent SALSA attainment record.
Conduct relevant health & safety training (e.g. fire marshal, manual handling etc).
You will be an experienced self-motivated, driven and ambitious Manager with a proven track record in fast paced food manufacturing environments with strong leadership and the ability to engage and embed new processes.
You will have excellent numerical ability; be competent with Microsoft packages and possess SALSA or BRC compliance systems experience, along with certification systems such as ISO 9001. Any knowledge of stock management software and an understanding of Kanban would be advantageous.
