Transition Training Lead

Scantec are currently looking for a Transition Training Lead for one of our most prestigious nuclear clients.

The objective of the role is to act as the delivery lead of the Transition training package from one facility to another.
You will be responsible for delivering to the agreed training schedule, reporting to the Asset Operations Manager (AOM) Designate on progress, risks, issues, and help required.
Currently the team consists of a Training Specialist, this will likely increase as a firmer understanding of the training gap is determined.
This work is in support of delivering an Authority to Operate for a new Assembly/Disassembly Facility where it is essential to assure operational competence of all personnel prior to live operations.
The Transition Training Lead will be required to lead the training provision until completion of all necessary training packages – September 2022.

The objective of the task is to lead the Transition Training Package.  

Tasks include:

•              Design and Develop new Training Plan
•              Design & Develop Induction and Familiarisation Training
•              Incorporate Training Packages into Corporate Training System
•              Coordinate the implementation of training
•              Interface with the Construction Management team and wider business to develop an integrated schedule of training activities, providing a clear understanding of when training can be conducted, and the level of resource required to deliver the training.
•              Lead the Training team to deliver the required outputs to time, cost, and quality
•              Design and Development of Training Packages for Building Services & Process, Plant, and Equipment
•              Design and Develop Induction and Familiarisation Training
•              Liaise with the wider business to ensure work is conducted in accordance with the Organisation’s Learning & Development processes and procedures and to incorporate the Training Package into the corporate training system
•              Coordinate the implementation of training
•              Provide weekly updates to the Designate AOM on progress, risks, issues, and help required
•              Review, update and reissue the Project Training Strategy as required.
•              Review, update and reissue the Project Gap Analysis as required.
•              Produce and maintain a Project Training Schedule.
•              Ensure the training programme is developed and implemented systematically in accordance with Company Training Safety Procedures
•              Assess the quality and suitability of external training provision.
•              Provide training advice to the project.

Skills & Experience             

•              Working knowledge of Explosive Facility Design and Explosive regulations
•              Working knowledge of Nuclear Compliant Facility Design
•              Experience of designing and implementing training for major capital projects
•              Design and Installation of Process Plant and Equipment within the nuclear / explosive industry
•              Experience in commissioning and hand over of facilities.
•              Experience of design reviews and responding to reservations from Subject Matter Experts.

DV required long term to enable viewing on SAP information to enable an understanding of the full capabilities in each area of the facility, a necessity to developing training packages.
