A leading FMCG Manufacturer is currently looking to recruit a Supply Chain Planner to join their team initially on a 6 month contract. This role will be EMEA Operationally responsible for the procurement planning, purchasing, inventory management & allocation related to a Third Party Finished Goods portfolio and be the key point of contact for 3rd party products management internally for that portfolio.

You will be a Supply Chain Planner ideally with EMEA experience. You will be able to deal with and challenge ambiguity, thrive in a dynamic and constantly changing environment and be able to influence the wider deployment team through clear fact based communication.

Previous working knowledge of Kinaxis RapidResponse system is essential!

Supply Chain Planner / Procurement Planner responsibilities:

Liaise with external suppliers as well as cross functional teams: Purchasing & supplier management, distribution, country logistics, country & supplier quality, regulatory affairs & marketing.
Communication with external suppliers to purchase products in line with regional objectives (service level, inventory targets, freight), ensure delivery of the products on-time & in full and organize country allocations
Drive new product launch & conversions for the portfolio where applicable. Main point of contact for business development involving a supplier/distributor model
Participate in process and system improvement for 3rd party initiative
Procurement planning for 3rd party supply chains from demand signal to allocation of product per country within the region
Accountable for service level targets for these supply chains
Accountable for achievement of inventory performance targets for these supply chains
React with velocity to customer forecast and demand changes
Operational responsibility detail:
Ensure demand is in line with market trend, launch plans and LRP (long range plan) through supporting country/regional S&OP
Ensure all items required for product lifecycle (Launch/End of Life) are forecasted in partnership with CLA (Country Logistics Analyst) / Franchise forecast lead
Be able to clearly summarise regional demand plan and identify and communicate risk in conjunction with central demand team
Manage multiple international suppliers and supply chains
Utilise procurement master scheduling model to develop plan
Develop procurement plan to meet EMEA demand based on global constraints
Be able to negotiate supply with global team to meet EMEA commitments
Translate operational plan into financial inventory plan to feed EMEA cash-flow planning and ensure achievement of plan
Main point of contact for process improvement related to 3rd party procurement and system evolution across portfolio
Utilise pipeline management tool to control and analyse pipeline
Utilise experience to define solutions/recommendations to solve issues
Drive initiative to reduce the inventory pipeline and increase turns performance of the portfolio
Proactively communicates supply risk to project team together with proposed solutions
Works with programme manager and countries in case of pipeline blockages to re-define priorities
Ensures that countries have clear visibility on supply versus their launch plan
Represents EMEA SC planning and deployment in regional and global multifunctional forums
