PRODUCTION MANAGER

The Production Manager role is a key leadership role sitting within Process Sciences (PS) team. Pivotal to the success of the business and critical to the on-going success of the wider business.

The Production Manager is responsible for a team of approx. 6 direct reports and approx. 25-30 indirect reports within the process sciences team.

The Role:

The Production Manager  is ultimately responsible for the senior managers, managers and technical specialists as well as the wider group. You will be driving professional development of the wider team.

Your role will be to:
  • Develop and influence strategy
  • Budgetary responsibility
  • Ensuring work is completed within timeframes and within HSE and cGMP guidelines
  • Design and development of drug substance manufacturing processes at lab scales and pilot scale.
  • Scale up of the manufacturing processes to both clinical and commercial manufacturing.
  • Effective transfer of biologics manufacturing processes to external partners
  • Process Characterisation and Process Validation programmes
  • Risk assessment – mitigation and reporting
  • Manage the talent pipeline for the division
You will be confident liaising with the global leadership team, leading and managing senior managers with technical disciplines; defining strategy and delivering on time within guidelines

The ideal candidate will be Degree Qualified (Biochemistry/Bioprocessing – or similar); expert knowledge of cGMP and risk management associated with cGMP.

You will have a track record of successfully developing your people, driving business forward and bring new ideas/ways of working to the business.
