An FMCG Food Manufacturer is currently seeking a Hygiene Shift Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Managing a multi‐skilled team you will be responsible for the quality, efficacy and standards of cleaning in the area of responsibility through effective utilisation of both people and resources.

The successful Hygiene Leader will have an excellent understanding of H&S and Food Safety regulations with experience of working in a fast paced environment along with knowledge of retailer audits / BRC etc.

Hygiene Shift Manager Responsibilities include:

Lead / manage Hygiene team i.e. team briefs, progress reviews and 1‐1’s.
Ensure KPI targets are clear and results are achieved.
Order and control hygiene consumables and chemicals.
Ensure there are detailed cleaning instructions and schedules for all hygiene activities.
Effective delivery of the site laundry service.
Compliance audit / inspections.
Manage the provision of hygiene chemicals and dosing equipment overseeing safe storage and use of chemicals.
Analyses issues, and drives root cause analysis.
Understand labour budget.
Provide training and awareness ensuring a training plan for the team.
Drive continuous improvement.
KPI reporting supporting a Lean environment.
Manage team rotas etc.
Ensure GMP standards are delivered at all times.
Complete shift reports.
Ensure safe systems of work / risk assessments.
Drive the team to be Multi‐skilled.
Ensure all areas are kept clean and tidy within production and all internal and external areas.
Conduct COSHH assessments, risk assessments and document safe systems of work for all hygiene tasks.
Ensure transfer of waste, ensuring waste segregation and correct recycling procedures are adhered to.
Support in the absence of the Hygiene Manager.
You will be a People Manager able to effectively communicate with all levels, possess good analytical skills and knowledge of Lean and Lean tools within Hygiene with a good understanding of IT.
