An interesting opportunity as arisen for an IT Project Manager to join an innovative and established business, supporting the IT Manager in delivering multiple IT projects for the business.

  • Understanding, analysing and managing the business systems in use
  • Managing the development and support of internal business systems - financial, ERP, manufacturing, HR & payroll
  • Ensuring IT systems are equipped to support business strategies and company growth
  • Investigating the visibility of potential new business systems, modules and technologies
  • Lead the design and creation of 'best practice’ procedures and ensure that they are embedded
  • Look to integrate and automate data flows within ERP system (works orders, routing and associated manufacturing reports)
  • Meet with internal stakeholders to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and time lines
  • Prepare project briefs, budgeting and planning documentation and maintain from concept to closure, identifying activities, tasks, dependencies and milestones
  • Maintain the Company’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering and supporting strategic plans
  • Formulate and agree short, medium and long term strategies
  • Ensuring the transition and handover of projects into ongoing service and support
  • Act as a stand in for the IT Manager when required
Essential Skills
  • Exposure to delivering a project in a manufacturing environment
  • Qualification in project management methodology such as PRINCE2
  • Experience of successfully managing medium / large scale IT projects
  • Hands on experience of installing IT hardware and software
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical parties
  • Good influencing and negotiation skills both with internal stakeholders and third party suppliers
