We’re looking for someone who is mechanically biased or has a heavy machining background working in a tool room environment. The role will involve supporting a busy manufacturing site in terms of milling, turning, fabricating and repairing tools and metal moulds used within the production process. This is suited for someone looking for an opportunity, with limited or more extensive hands on experience, but a time served background mechanically/machining our client can teach you the rest. If you have worked within an manufacturing business, or a mechanical engineering business where you have been exposure to milling or turning parts, tools, components and have a desire on the below duties with a progression plan then please get in touch. Our clients manufacturing process involves using blow moulding and rotational moulding machinery, you’re role will see you making parts/tools, repairing tools and repairing moulds and supporting the running of multiple production. It’s a fast paced production environment with over 30 different lines running across 3 production halls so you’ll certainly learn and develop.
This role reports into the Engineering Manager on site and will join a team of over 10 engineers in the team.
- Turning & milling components and parts for the production process
- Mould maintenance
- Following site rules and relevant health and safety legislation at all times
- Identify and escalate any activity that has potential to cause harm or damage to senior members of the engineering team
- Ensure all work is undertaken to a high quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations
Time served/Apprentice trained mechanical engineer/technician would be advantageous
Tooling or machining apprenticeship/training
Turning or milling ideally both
Manufacturing Industry Experience would be beneficial
