An FMCG Food Manufacturer is currently seeking a Technical Supplier Compliance Manager to join their team.  This role will be responsible for the implementation of the supplier risk assessment program to include audits and management of the food safety, legality, quality and ethical standards.

The successful Compliance Manager will provide support to the Commercial team with technical advice and support with product recall procedures therefore strong communication skills are necessary for this role.
You will have good factory knowledge the ability to manage detailed work, have experience in auditing and understand / be compliant with procedures. Please note this role requires travel within UK and Europe.

Technical Compliance Manager Responsibilities include:
Provide advice on technical capabilities of suppliers to Commercial Managers.
Carry out technical audits and work alongside suppliers to closeout actions.
Prepare sites for retailer audits and pre‐production visits.
Conduct supplier risk assessments to support the annual Supplier Risk Assessment review.
Work with suppliers to gain appropriate retailer approvals.
Manage SEDEX, working with sites to ensure Ethical standards and relevant audits are sustained.
Provide Technical and Audit support i.e. Code of Practice interpretation for all suppliers production facilities.
Understand current retailer standards and provide support to Suppliers / Commercial Managers as required.
Collate food fraud alerts and incident information to trend for supplier review.
Manage the internal audit programme.
Support specification generation using the retailer online systems.
Provide internal training.
Maintain strong communication and relationships with Customers Technical contacts.
