This role requires a strong operational background within both production and engineering. You will ideally be educated to degree level within an Engineering related subject and have a thorough understanding of HR policies, procedures and legislation.
Manufacturing Manager responsibilities include:
Lead, motivate and manage production and maintenance teams
Develop long term strategy and identify business opportunities
Set and agree performance targets whilst monitoring KPI’s
Ensure quality, safety and hygiene procedures are complied with
Manage all non conformances ensuring incidents are fully investigated and effective actions are taken
Drive an improvement culture and lead CI projects
Coach and develop the teams including holding regular performance reviews, appraisals and 121’s
Maintain effective communication with management team ( EHS, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, R&D and HR) to aid the smooth running of the production area
Manage health, safety and environmental agenda
The successful Manufacturing Manager will look at long term production strategies, identify business opportunities and be an engaging, driven, inspiring and ambitious leader.
