The successful Manufacturing Manager will have the ability to develop a long term production strategy and identify business opportunities. You will be an engaging, driven, inspiring and ambitious leader with a passion for food and proactive in seeking ways to improve.
This role will require a strong operational background to stand in for the Plant Director, therefore you will ideally be degree educated in an Engineering related subject with a minimum of 5 years experience in a food manufacturing environment and a thorough understanding of HR policies, procedures and legislation.
Manufacturing Manager responsibilities include:
Lead, motivate and manage production and maintenance teams
Develop long term strategy and identify business opportunities
Set and agree performance targets whilst monitoring KPI’s
Ensure quality, safety and hygiene procedures are complied with
Manage all non conformances ensuring incidents are fully investigated and effective actions are taken
Drive an improvement culture and lead CI projects
Coach and develop the teams including holding regular performance reviews, appraisals and 121’s
Maintain effective communication with management team ( EHS, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, R&D and HR) to aid the smooth running of the production area
Manage health, safety and environmental agenda
