A leading FMCG Manufacturer is now seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the successful Supply Chain Planning Manager will be responsible for ensuring the required supply chain operations and processes are lean, cost effective and fit for purpose to support the changing company growth plans.

The successful Supply Chain Planning Manager will hold responsibility for master material and production planning, financial data planning and will deputise for the Head of Supply Chain in their absence.

You will have a proven end to end Supply Chain background with specific planning experience within the FMCG manufacturing sector (food or pharma preferable).

Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Planning Manager include:
Ensure that the business receives weekly updated, valid production schedules and associated data
Continually improve the Planning system, SAP and bespoke computer programmes to facilitate excellent production scheduling
Continually improve the Materials Requirement Planning process to facilitate excellent materials planning
Ensure effective use of available systems e.g. SAP
Multi-site communication and liaison with 3rd party suppliers to ensure continuous supply of materials and thereby continuous production
Working with Purchasing ensure that the business has an effective network of materials suppliers
Work with the Logistics Manager to ensure smooth running of the shipping of items
Ensure correct levels of stock available to service customers at an agreed level
Advise on supply issues relating to new products and de-listed items
Manage the Logistics Production Data Team to provide accurate and on time information to the business and to the Procurement team.
Manage Supply Chain / Logistics Projects and ensure timely delivery.
Manage cross functional teams
Ensure continuous improvement of the Supply Chain / Logistics functions and services and identify appropriate resource to assist with this.
Deputise for the Head of Supply Chain as and when required
