A leading FMCG manufacturer are currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager / CI Manager to join the business Senior Management Team and to lead and drive the CI and Lean agenda over two manufacturing units.
Reporting directly into the General Manager, you will be responsible for a team of 6 Direct Reports to deliver the business agreed manufacturing vision and strategy through continuous improvement and process controls to deliver manufacturing and business efficiencies to meet probability targets.
You will be a CI Manager with a wealth of experience of setting and deliver of CI and Lean Strategies and Implementing Lean Principles into a high paced manufacturing facility as well as aiding in the training and development of staff in Lean Principles. Previous involvement in working on and identifying capital projects is essential. Ideally you will be degree level educated and also posses a Lean or Six Sigma Qualification, with Six Sigma Black Belt deemed as highly desirable.
Continuous Improvement Manager / CI Manager responsibilities include:
Support direct reports and site teams in performing a detailed gap analysis across sites processes, performance and Operational Plans affecting any aspect of the manufacturing process.
Development of the appropriate technical and behavioural skills to enable a culture of continuous sustained improvement in achieving low cost, high quality operations.
Lead and implement sustained improvements to reduce factory costs, and ensure effective employment of people resources and facilities through successful project delivery
Maximise people involvement and engagement in change projects to develop a culture change across the sites.
Coach and train employees in knowledge and skills to apply CI and process control concepts and tools on an ongoing basis.
Challenge the status quo and support the business in creating a best practice culture to focuses on improvement of process, reduction of waste and development of colleagues to deliver a continuous improvement culture.
