The successful Hygiene Team leader will be COSHH trained and have previous experience in a fast paced food manufacturing environment in a Hygiene management capacity. You will have strong man-management skills with the ability to communicate clearly and motivate a team of Hygiene operatives.
Hygiene Supervisor responsibilities include:
Ensure all planned cleans are completed to a high standard.
Have day to day control of all aspects of the hygiene areas.
Ensure all scheduled cleans are completed and communicated.
Ensure that all information is recorded accurately and checked.
Improve clean levels.
Monitor effectiveness of cleans in conjunction of labour costs with a view to continuous improvements.
Work within set budgets.
Monitor all key performance indicators.
Follow any reasonable request as required by the business.
Ensure there is daily liaison with all staff, internal customers, Planning, Production and other functions when necessary.
Ensure that cleaning is conducted in a food safe manner.
Ensure that labour is available along with equipment available when required.
Develop and improve professional competence.
You must have knowledge of risk assessments, an understanding of all safety issues regarding the areas and machinery and appropriate knowledge to influence and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement.
