To assist in the planning and management of works within the Capital Projects Team, on a programme of works across the six UK Oil Fuel Depots operated and maintained on behalf of the MoD. Ensuring that all tasks are executed on time and to budget or estimate and in full compliance with company standards and UK / European legislation.

Job Dimensions:

With responsibility for delivering tasks within a number of projects and/or engineering works as part of the Capital Project delivery team, across various locations at any one time. The job entails working with multi-disciplined contract engineers who conduct engineering activities as part of the larger Capital works programme. There will be a need to build strong working relationships with all stakeholders and in particular HSSEQ and Site Operations as well as with external stakeholders including DIO, Navy, MoD, other Contractors/Consultants, and the CA.

 Be a key contributor to the Engineering Team to support the team to meet the business and team objectives.
 Ensure tasks are delivered fully compliant, with company policies, procedures and legal requirements, particularly safety and ensuring safe systems of work.
 Manage own time and resources to ensure compliant with the Working Time Regulations and meet responsibilities for health and safety.
 Develop and maintain positive relationships with the key stakeholders internally and externally.
 Consistently maintain a professional approach in day to day activities.
 Ensure effective and appropriate communication at all times.
 Report on activities and provide relevant management information.
 Maintain high standards of probity and confidentiality.

 Ensure activities are in accordance with the Agency’s accounting procedures.
o This includes the timely submission of expenses.
 Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of assets, equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.

 Work with all for successful delivery of Capital Projects.
 Manage resources to fulfil the needs of the Capital Project Process / programme
 Ensure that Capital Projects are completed in line with company standards and relevant and UK / European
legislation, ATEX, PLSG, API, EEMUA etc., to allow future operation by the company.
 Ensure input is provided for Scope of Works produced by Capital Projects Consultants.
 Liaise with other members of the Engineering Team on standards and codes.
 Assist in the selection of suppliers in line with relevant legislation and Agency procedures.
 Produce detailed programme of works/Gantt charts etc. to monitor progress.
 Ensure compliance of COMAH, MoC, and CDM regulations in the delivery of Capital projects.
 Additional ad hoc project works outside the Capital Project programme as required.
