GDPR Interim Statement 2018

“Scantec is aware of the upcoming change to Data Protection legislation via the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (2017). Compliance is one of our core values and we pride ourselves in delivering a highly compliant service for our clients and candidates.

We are currently reviewing and strengthening our already robust data protection processes and policies, and have undergone an assessment with a view to determining our readiness to be compliant with the new requirements of the GDPR.

Our GDPR readiness assessment covered all 12 of the GDPR preparation steps recommended by the Information Commissioner’s Office and consisted of an on-site audit, technical review and process gap analysis. Following this we have a clear roadmap to compliance which includes staff training, engaging with clients, candidates and suppliers and implementing new policies and processes.

We will further be publishing our external policies early in 2018, we have taken the decision not to make any formal policy statements until the legislation is fully confirmed.

Finally, we are in discussions with the ICO, REC and FCSA to keep up to date regarding best practice for GDPR preparation.”
