A global Manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Regulatory Advisor to join their team to develop key relationships, represent the site in industry and regulatory fora, and be integral to their work on building performance and sustainability. This opportunity is a developmental role and would be suitable for anyone with 1-2 years experience upwards ideally with a scientific / engineering qualifiaction and some Manufacturing experience.

This role will ideally have a presence in South Wales or London at times with the remainder home working.

An Engineering / Civil Engineering / Scientific / Manufacturing underpinning background would be advantageous for this role. This role would also be open to a Regulatory professional wishing to move from Food, Pharmaceutical, Medical Manufacturing. 

Regulatory Advisor responsibilities include:

Support sites UK’s public and regulatory affairs programme, including representing the public policy positions in relevant forums, influencing construction material standards and regulations, and leading a defined programme of industry engagement relating to performance and sustainability.
Delivery of a successful public and industry affairs program
Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Developing deep knowledge of site products and the regulatory and industry environment
Managing effective public and industry affairs activities in line with sites commercial priorities
Developing and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the UK public policy environment,
regulatory framework and industry landscape
Proactively providing expert advice on industry and regulatory matters within the business
Developing sophisticated argumentation and positions to underpin sites influencing work
Identifying relevant engagement opportunities and growing public and industry affairs
Securing relationships and influence with relevant external groups (trade associations, expert bodies & institutes, lobbying coalitions, commercial organisations, etc)
Supporting activities on the UK mirror groups responsible for the BS and EN standards applicable to site

You will ideally be degree qualified / equivalent with proven previous experience in a similar or related role e.g. Public Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Civil Service. You will have an excellent understanding of UK policy and regulatory framework and be an excellent communicator both verbal and written
